Program

At Crown Preschool we provide play-based programs for children two, three, and four years of age. An adult-child ratio of 1 to 6 or less is maintained. Class sizes are limited to 15 for the 2- and 3-year-old classes, and 18 for the 4-year-old class. Children must turn 2, 3, or 4 by Dec 31^st of the corresponding school year.

Our two qualified teachers offer dynamic programs within a safe, supportive atmosphere. Our teachers take great care in creating flexible programs that address the needs and curiousities of the children as a group and as individuals.

Together the duty parents and teachers provide well-balanced programs that celebrate the value of play. Our exploration centres, singing and story activities, gym, and outdoor playground engage children in a variety of styles of learning through play.

Shape of the Day

Duty Parents Arrive with snacks and help teachers prepare the day’s activities 30 minutes prior to class

Welcome Circle – singing, sharing news, and reviewing the day’s activities

Free Play – art projects, blocks, cooking, dress-up, house, play dough, puzzles, science discovery, sand and water tables, seasonal and theme-based activities

Clean Up

Snack

Story Time – sharing stories, songs, puppets, and music

Outdoor Play or Gym Play

Duty Parents Clean-Up 30 minutes after class
